Introduction The Beverage Company is a large manufacturing company in the Carbonated Soft Drinks industry. The Group has a national footprint and focuses on quality products for the alternative beverage market. Specification Role Purpose This role is responsible for the Accounts Payable function in The Beverage Company. This position manages a national structure for all Accounts Payable personnel through the appointed AP Controllers. The AP Team is responsible for the management of all suppliers, nationally and internationally and for the reconciliation and payment of all accounts payable. This position is key to support the business in profitable revenue growth, cash flow optimisation and customer support - both internal and external. Reporting Structure The position will be reporting to the Head of Shared Services in Isando. Key Accountabilities and Outputs Accountable for the full function of Accounts Payable Development and introduction of standard operating practices within Accounts Payable Department o Vendor applications o Trading terms o Account reconciliations o Document matching and automation o Payment scheduling o Cash flow optimisation o Cash flow forecasting Ensuring the full functionality of AP in the SAPB1 ERP system by streamlining processes and organisation structure Managing a team of more than 10 employees with 3 direct reports that are geographically located in 3 locations nationally Ensure proper performance monitoring and performance management of employees Support and act as a bridge between Finance and the other functions from a Supplier relationship perspective Behavioral Competencies Leadership Learning and growth mind-set Analytical Ability to work under pressure Ability to work with minimal supervision Taking ownership and accountability for actions Ability to form relationships and influence decision making at all levels of the organisation Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams. Assertiveness Effective communicator Must be willing to work on other projects tasks even if not part of determined KPI's Positive outlook Reliability Conceptual & Analytical Abilities Result & Goal orientation Influencing & Negotiation Requirements Qualification: BCom degree or equivalent Some exposure to articles in an auditing firm Experience, Skill and behavioral competencies Experience in Accounts Payable of which 3 years in a managerial position Advanced Excel Experience in FMCG environment within Finance and advantage Engagement with multiple stakeholders in and outside the business in order to deliver on objectives • Customer service approach to AP
